Hi, I’m Mandana Arabzadeh. I am a Royal Conservatory certified piano and theory teacher with over 20 years of dedicated experience. From the very beginning of my career, I have been passionate about sharing the beauty of music with my students of all ages. Over these two decades, I have had the privilege of teaching a diverse range of learners, starting as young as four years old all the way to adult learners.
As a teacher, I believe that every student learns differently and deserves a personalized approach. My role as a teacher is not only to teach piano skills but also inspire confidence, curiosity, and a genuine love of music. I strive to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and celebrating their progress. By building strong relationships with my students, I am able to understand their goals, learning styles, and interests, allowing me to tailor each lesson to meet their specific needs.
I have built my lessons around the Royal Conservatory’s system, ensuring that my students progress with a solid technical foundation and a deep musical understanding. I stay current with new developments in pedagogy, so my students always benefit from modern techniques and approach. This ensures that my students not only pass their exams but build confidence and joy in their playing.
In addition to preparing my students for Royal Conservatory exams, my students also participate in annual recitals and ORMTA competitions, where they receive trophies and certificates from my studio, giving them even more encouragement, recognition and a sense of achievement in their musical growth.

What you need
The Bigger Picture
Piano is more than an instrument: it's a foundation. Research consistently shows that children who learn music develop stronger language skills, better math ability, and greater emotional intelligence. For adults, it's a powerful way to keep the mind sharp and the spirit nourished.
Music connects us: to ourselves, to others, and to a long tradition of human expression. Whether your child is 5 or you're picking it up at 50, the piano has something profound to offer.
"Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything.": Plato
For Children
Improves reading, language, and math skills. Teaches discipline and emotional regulation. Builds lasting confidence and creativity.
For Adults
It's the best way to work out the adult's brain. It strengthens memory, improves concentration, keeps the mind sharp, and creates new natural connections. Adults don't learn piano just to play music. They learn to invest in themselves.

FAQ
A: Piano can be learned at any age, and there is no age limit to developing musical skills. However, in my experience age 6 is an ideal time to start. At this age, children are often ready to focus, follow instructions, develop coordination, and build a strong foundation in music while still enjoying the learning process.
A: While it is entirely possible to begin piano lessons without owning an instrument, I strongly recommend having a piano or keyboard at home for consistent daily practice. In the early stages, lessons can focus on musical foundation, note reading and rhythm.
A: The timeline varies depending on a student's dedication, practice, and goals. For some students, a few months of regular practice can build a solid foundation, while mastering the instrument to an advanced level often takes several years. Consistent practice, patience, and a passion for music are key to progress.
A: Lesson lengths vary based on student's age, level and learning goals. Most lessons are offered in 30-minute, 45-minute or 60-minute once a week. For beginners, a 30-minute lesson is sufficient. However, if a student is preparing for an RCM examination, a minimum of 45-minutes is recommended to allow adequate time for technical, repertoire, theory, and exam preparation.
A: Practice requirements vary depending on the student's age and level. For beginners, 15-20 minutes of daily practice is usually sufficient to build a strong foundation. More advanced students or those preparing for exams may need 45-60 minutes per day to make steady progress. Consistency is more important than long practice sessions.
A: Yes. Students who are interested in pursuing formal music education can be prepared for Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) practical and theory examinations. Lessons are tailored to meet examination requirements while helping students develop strong musicianship and confidence at the piano.
